About the role
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on expertise in software testing, test automation, and performance testing.
You will play a central role in delivering reliable, high-quality product releases while working closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts in an Agile environment. Smarbl follows an alternate-month release cycle, so this role requires ownership, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively to defined timelines.
Practical experience with automated and AI-assisted testing is required.
What you will do
- Create clear, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and AI-assisted testing tools.
- Execute manual and automated test suites for product releases.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and support improvements to application performance.
- Work with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand and clarify requirements.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Use GitHub for version control, automation scripts, and technical documentation.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
- Perform comprehensive regression testing before major releases.
- Take ownership of the QA process for assigned modules and releases.
- Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.

What we are looking for
Experience and technical skills
- At least four years of quality assurance experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or regulatory reporting.
- A strong understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle, the software testing lifecycle, and Agile delivery.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools such as Testim, Mabl, or Katalon.
- Experience with performance testing and the analysis of test results.
